Changes to Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks

From 1 December, the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) merge to form the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). So, from this date, ‘CRB checks’ become ‘DBS checks’.
There have also been changes to the legislation around which posts need CRB clearance, or a check on the Adults or Children’s barred lists.

Duty to Refer is a free event for all safeguarding professionals is taking place on Thursday 6th December to cover the new CRB, vetting and barring process. Click here to book for your place.
