We believe learning is the road to improvement. In every action we take, we need to ask ourselves “what difference will this make for the citizen?” This is essential to our behaviour as individuals and fundamental to our culture as organisations.
Our purpose
Our purpose is to support and assist Birmingham’s adult social care and children’s workforce to ensure it is providing the highest standard of service to its citizens and develop the capacity of local communities to contribute to meeting their needs.
We do this in line with government policy, sector requirements, regional and local priorities, employer and employee needs, service user and carer interests.
In fulfilling this purpose we work in partnership with a range of organisations, customers and individuals to support them to develop their workforce using a range of methods. We aim to respond to changing needs and reflect emerging agendas.
