Learning Aims
The programme is designed to support Operational Managers
who are managing a diverse range of resources (including information,
technology, financial, people, functions and teams etc) and who have
responsibility for identifying and driving efficiencies within areas they
have responsibility for. The course
will provide opportunities to consider and articulate a potential business
case for efficiency-related change.
Learning objectives
By the end of the programme, participants will have
opportunities to:-
- Identify
the significance of managing efficiencies within the context of the
resources managed
- Apply
principles of environmental scanning to appraise the context of Adult
Social Care
- Appraise
the entrepreneurial skills necessary for managing efficiency and to
innovate
- Try
out tools designed to improve efficiencies in functions within own area
of responsibility
- Describe
the ‘people’ and ‘team’ processes’ that support collaborative responses
to efficiency drives
- Consider
an area within own area of responsibility for potential efficiency
improvement and apply an evidence-based decision-making technique for
change
- Consider
processes to assess impact and risk with regard to functions earmarked
for change/consideration
- Identify
the implications organisational policies have on managing resources
